Help!
As I said this morning, I need help! I need some great ideas of what to get Tami for Christmas. So…LADIES, I’m counting on you (guys, you can suggest stuff, but it better be good!). Click on the comment section and offer away. The good news is I’m the only one who can see the comments so Tami won’t know what you suggest.

Well, my suggestion would be a gift certificate to some spa like Centerstage or Utopia in Lincoln or a gift package where she should get a massage, facial, pedicure, manicure, or anything else she would want. My mom got that a while ago from a friend and loved it!….just tell her that you’ll babysit someday and she can have a day off to go feel pretty!

Hi Jason,
I have a great idea for Tami…How about some golf shoes…I realize she does not golf but they could be very helpful if she wears them when she goes out to scrape your car windows on early winter mornings…this way she will not slip on the ice and hurt herself! They would also be good to wear when she scoops the snow and ice off your driveway and sidewalk, again, creating a safer experience for her…This gift would REALLY show her YOU CARE!

Larry,
Umm, I’m not sure where to start with that suggestion. They sound awfully practical, but I’m afraid I would find myself on the couch after a gift like that!

Ok, I might as well get my two cents worth in. Are you thinking practical or frivolous? Gift certificates for facials,
massages, theater tickets, movie tickets.
How about cash? A friend of mine once
received cash from her husband, at least
$200 - $300, to spend any way she wanted. She used that money all year for
garage sales and lunches out, etc. anything that “hit her fancy” so to speak. She had a ball with it. Actually,
it might have even been $400. (And if
you use this idea, feel free to mention
that I’ll go to lunch with her!)
Then there’s always the practical.
Think about it. Does she need a special
light to read in bed by? A new chair to sit on when using the computer?
For women, the lists are endless. Men
are the problems to buy for!!

Hey, Jason. I just ready your family blog where Tami mentions how she likes to take pictures. I have noticed lately on blogs that people are mentioning that they are taking on-line photography classes. There are professionals that teach you all about the manual settings on your camera, give you assignments, and then evaluate your pictures and give you pointers on how to improve them. Tami already takes great pictures, but she might enjoy learning some new tricks. Can’t help you with a specific on-line class, but that’s what google is for, right?! It is something I have thought I would enjoy, so that is my idea for you! Good luck! If you get a really good idea from someone, pass it on to Kevin. LOL! Please don’t listen to Larry. Trust me.

I think a nice night out with friends (hint, hint) at her favorite resteraunt and a stay at a hotel would be a great gift for Tami.

You can get her either a gift certificate to Center Stage or get her a love/marriage coupon book which she can use whenever and you have to oblige. These have items like movie of her choice, night out alone, any meal prepared for her, foot massage, etc. I think you can get these at Hallmark or some store like that, maybe Wal-Mart.

Some “practical” ideas:
–Vick’s vapor rub
–Oil of Olay (no substitutes) facial lotion
–lip gloss (have the girl’s help you…the Dollar Tree is a good place)
–picks (you can get them cheap at Wal-Mart..3 in a pack)…maybe the Dollar Tree would have them too
–deodorant (Dove brand)
–Dove chocolates (milk preferred)
–hand lotion (Vaseline brand or any European brand…non scented)
–toilet bowl cleaner and a new toilet bowl brush
–comet cleaner (the spray kind)
–dishwasher detergent (Electrosal tablets)
